Had breakfast of hard boiled eggs, toast, coffee and
tea. Relaxed and had good conversations
during breakfast.
Mark at AA Computers talking to Alex Ringholt (lft) and Shirima (rt) |
Bashiri picked us up and we went in to town. We
found AA Computers right away, met the folks that we had been exchanging
emails with,
and reviewed our orders. The computers we
requested were in Dar es Salam and AA expected them to arrive by Saturday. So AA computers set up two nearly identical
systems for us to take with us this afternoon, so that we would have computers
to do some set up and education for the Kijota Vivian Gulleen school and
Kiomboi. The other computers would be
ready for pick up early next week. Mark talked with Peter Kijanga to arrange transport to pick up the rest of the
computers when they come in.
Our four with Mauri and Ritva Niemi |
Next we found the ELCT [Ed: Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania],
educating nurses in Tanzania. The Niemi’s have been in Tanzania doing mission work with a
health care focus for over a decade!
Great conversation and some good tips for future growth of the Internet
access for Singda
University.
Shopping in Arusha, Mark shows off Karen's new purse. |
We ended the afternoon with a relaxing lunch, walking tour
of downtown, and, of course, some shopping!
We headed back to the Mwnganza
Center with good
intentions for more conversations, reflection, and some reading but “naps” in
the warm afternoon climate became the main activity.
We got up in time for supper at the Illboro Lodge that was
within walking distance from the Center, and ended the day with devotions,
hymns, and reflections being open to where our journey here might lead us.
