[Editor's Note:  Mark is keeping a blog on his laptop and sends it to your editor as he can find reliable internet connections.  I will let his words carry the narrative of the trip and will add my comments in notes like this when appropriate.]

Bashari - our driver, and a good friend from our 2007 Mission Trip

We are in Tanzania!!  It was a looong, but smooth ride all the way here.  We were excited to have Bashiri, our JM Tours driver that we also had in 2007, pick us up at the airport.  It was a very nice reunion.  It was interesting that there was an entourage of Queen Elizabeth at the airport at the same time our plane landed.  They had a band playing and a red carpet rolled out.  We thought maybe they heard we were coming J.  Bashiri drove us to our home for two nights at the Lutheran Mwngaza Retreat Center in Arusha.  Since it was evening, we closed the night with prayers, devotions and songs that Pastor Laura organized for us to do each night.  We had a good discussion about trusting God and putting ourselves in His care.
